Ben is undertaking a twice life size stone carving of five times Olympian and Bath trained swimmer, Mark Foster. To launch the project, Olympic swimmer, Mark Foster, unveiled Ben's project and made the first mark in the stone.
Ben's 'AVENUE OF CHAMPIONS' will be shown in full for the first time this summer in Salisbury Cathedral from June 23rd to Sep 16th. This series of Olympic and Paralympic athletes captures something of the athlete's unique nature which also reflects their commitment and excellence within their sport
May the 22nd will see his monumental carving of the 5 times Olympian Mark Foster unveiled in the World Heritage city of Bath, a 3 meter high public sculpture Olympian MMXII.
Christine is delighted that her two-thirds life-size action portrait of Paralympic medalist, Ade Adepitan MBE, won the ASC sculpture award at the Mall Galleries, London, in 2011 and her action figure 'Sprint' won the TWA sculpture prize in 2010.
Christine is currently working on 'Running with Torch'. This is a semi-silhouette sculpture, depicting both male and female, to celebrate the honour and pride felt by all those chosen to carry the Olympic Flame round Britain.
It's all go for Jeremy Houghton! The jetsetter will be holding his first solo show at the Saatchi Gallery, London in March, exhibiting at the British consulate in New York in April and is working towards his first major international solo exhibition in the Everard Read Gallery, Johannesburg, South Africa at the end of the year.
Darren is planning an Olympic themed show at The Lightbox in Woking. It will feature a range of sporting portraits/paintings based on Olympians past and present. The show will tour to the North, including a major showing in Bradford at the award winning Impressions public gallery.
Alongside this, in his role as Professional Footballers Association official artist, Darren is creating football themed art for the PFA to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
